Our Mission Team
“To follow in Jesus’ footsteps, caring for each other when we work, play and pray.”
Our Mission Team plays an important role in helping us to live out our school mission every day. They lead by example, encouraging everyone to show the love of Jesus through kindness, compassion, prayer and service to others.
Throughout the year, our Mission Team:
- Lead Pupil Prepared Prayer for our Foundation children, helping our youngest pupils as they begin their journey of faith at St Joseph’s.
- Support pupils in our Prayer Room, helping to create a calm, welcoming and reflective space where children can pray and spend time with God.
- Help to monitor and develop the Catholic life of our school, looking at how well we are living out our mission and suggesting ways we can continue to grow.
- Organise fundraising activities throughout the year, encouraging our school community to think of others and support charities and people in need – living out our Catholic Social Teachings.
- Promote prayer and reflection, particularly during important liturgical seasons and celebrations in the Church year.
- Lead by example around school, showing how we can follow in Jesus’ footsteps in the way we treat and care for one another. The Mission Team reminds us that even small acts of love and kindness can make a big difference.
Through their work, the Mission Team helps to ensure that our mission is more than just words. They encourage us all to put our faith into action when we work, when we play and when we pray.
